Afore Capital claims to be the largest dedicated pre-seed investor, founded in 2017 by Anamitra Banerji (first product manager at Twitter, founding PM at Android) and Gaurav Jain. With $185M in its fourth fund and a 200-company portfolio collectively valued over $13.5 billion, Afore writes checks from $1M to $2M at the pre-seed stage. Notably, 64% of Afore's portfolio companies skip their seed round entirely, going straight to Series A. The firm also runs a Founders-in-Residence program for ideation-stage entrepreneurs.
