AI2 Incubator

The AI2 Incubator was created in 2014 by Oren Etzioni at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2), originally co-founded with Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Now an independent entity since 2022, the incubator focuses on AI-first vertical startups, pairing strong technical foundations with practical industry expertise. It launched an $80M Fund III in 2025 to support ~70 new ventures over four years. The incubator provides access to over 150 researchers and PhDs, a resource nearly impossible to find outside Big Tech.
