OpenAI Converge is closed, and the program that replaced it works differently. Converge ran two cohorts through the OpenAI Startup Fund in 2022 and 2023, paying $1M for a six-week program. Its page now returns a server error. OpenAI's current equivalent is Grove, a five-week program at its San Francisco headquarters for people at the earliest stage, often before they have a company. Grove pays no investment at all — participants get roughly $50K in API credits, and OpenAI is explicit that it is not an accelerator. Grove's second cohort ran in early 2026.
